Four names, including Ali Mardan Domki, were considered in a late-night parliamentary committee meeting, sources said
Quetta: Opposition nominee Ali Mardan Domki has been unanimously appointed caretaker chief minister of Balochistan.
According to the sources, the nominated parliamentary committee of the government and the opposition gave a detailed consideration to the four names, after which the parliamentary committee approved the appointment of Ali Mardan Domki as caretaker chief minister.
Sources say that a decision was taken in the late night meeting of the parliamentary committee to consider four names including Mir Ali Mardan Domki, the committee has informed the Speaker Balochistan Assembly about the consensus.
Sources said that Speaker Balochistan Assembly will formally inform Governor Balochistan in writing today, the date of swearing-in ceremony of nominated caretaker Chief Minister will be announced after the notification issued by Governor Balochistan.
Who is Mir Ali Mardan Domki?
The nominated Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Domki, is the former District Nazim Sabi, he is the brother of former Minister of State Mir Dostin Khan Domki, while Ali Mardan Domki has an undisputed tribal and political position.
Ali Mardan Domki belongs to Lahri area of Balochistan, he is the son of former senator Mir Huzoor Bakhsh Domki who was born on October 13, 1972.
