Written order issued against Shahryar Afridi’s arrest under MPO
The Islamabad High Court has issued a written order on the petition against the arrest of Shehryar Afridi under the MPO. Declaring the answer of DC Islamabad Irfan Memon and SSP Operations Jameel Zafar unsatisfactory, it has been decided to charge both of them at the next hearing.
The court in the written judgment said that DC Islamabad violated the court orders. The Deputy Commissioner considered the justice system useless and tried to humiliate it.
In a written order on the petition against the arrest of the MP, Justice Babarstar termed the responses of DC as District Magistrate and SSP operations as unsatisfactory.
The court said that after the MPO order of DC Rawalpindi was terminated, DC Islam issued the MPO the next day. In Badi-Nazar, DC Islamabad violated the orders of this court
The judgment said that the district magistrate can submit his detailed reply again if he wants.
According to the court, SSP Operations took the source report as a rubber stamp. IG Islamabad will name which SHO and DPO gave this source report.
The court also issued a show cause notice to the SHO and DPO and asked them to reply at the next hearing.
