Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar appeared before the joint inquiry team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the issue of cipher and audio leak investigation.
An 8-member joint inquiry team headed by Director FIA Islamabad Zone Rana Jabbar conducted the investigation.
Officers from various wings of FIA, including officers from 3 intelligence agencies, each of grade 19 were involved.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi reached the FIA headquarters 5 to 10 minutes before the appointed time of 11 am.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar were summoned by FIA’s counter-terrorism wing.
It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar had announced to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for the cipher investigation.
Speaking to the media outside the judicial complex in Islamabad, Asad Umar had said that the FIA had called him and Shah Mehmood on July 24 and would go and tell the facts.
