Two large dams broke in the eastern region
Dozens of villages and towns were flooded by the storm
In Libya, due to the hurricane and heavy rains, there has been a large-scale destruction and the death of two thousand people is being feared.
Cyclone Daniel hit Libya’s eastern coastal city of Derna over the weekend, bringing torrential rains. Now the spokesperson of the local government, Osama Hamad, has said that two dams in the area have broken due to the hurricane and rains and a large area has been flooded.
According to Osama Hamad, at least 2,000 people are expected to die.
