Details of the cases filed against Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been requested from the Punjab government
Lahore: (UrduLight.com) The Lahore High Court has sought the details of the cases filed against PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi from the Punjab government.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the request not to arrest Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cases registered after May 9 and to provide the list of cases. Chief Secretary and IG Punjab have been made parties in the petition.
The position taken by the petitioner is that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is a former foreign minister and an important leader of a political party. It is feared that the police will arrest Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a secret case filed after May 9. The information of secret cases filed later should be provided.
The petitioner requested the High Court to order the court to stop Shah Mehmood Qureshi from being arrested in the secret case after May 9.
The court adjourned the hearing by seeking the details of the cases registered against Shah Mehmood Qureshi from the Punjab government till tomorrow.
