16 cases registered against 56 electricity thieves in Sharqpur police station
In Punjab, more than 122 consumers who stole electricity were fined Rs 1 crore 44 lakh.
In Sharqpur Sharif of Sheikhupura district, 16 cases were registered against 56 electricity thieves in Sharqpur police station and 8 people were arrested, while a fine of Rs. 2.5 million was imposed on the electricity thieves.
On the other hand, Mapco’s grand operation against electricity theft is going on in Rahim Yarkhan, Mapco caught electricity theft of more than 166 customers in 6 days.
