For the first time, Islamic Savings Certificates offering returns of up to 19.5% have been introduced
20.8% profit expected per annum on Sarwa Islamic Term Account

The National Savings Directorate introduced the first registered Islamic Savings Certificate.

A one-year Sarwa Islamic Term Account is expected to earn 20.8% per annum, while the Sarwa Islamic Savings Certificate will yield 19.5%.

A one-year Tarwa Islamic Term Account will have an expected return of 20.8% per annum, a three-year Tarwa Islamic Term Account will have an expected return of 18%, and a five-year Tarwa Islamic Term Account will have an expected return of 12.84%.
