Further increase in electricity price for the people of Karachi, notification issued

The increase is due to fuel charge adjustment for the month of June

Nepra has increased Rs 2 31 paise per unit for the electricity consumers of Karachi and a notification has also been issued in this regard.

Another bad news for the people of Karachi suffering from load shedding, water shortage, inflation and unemployment, as Nepra has increased the cost of electricity by Rs 2 31 paise per unit for K-Electric consumers.

Nepra has also issued a notification in this regard, according to which the price of electricity has been increased due to fuel charge adjustment for the month of June.

The notification stated that K Electric had requested an increase of Rs 2 34 paisa per unit, the authority had held a public hearing on FCA on July 26, 2023, and the electricity price has been increased by Rs 2 31 paisa per unit, the decision was implemented. It will be on bills for the month of August only.
