Caretaker Energy Minister Muhammad Ali has indicated the possibility of a decision regarding relief in electricity bills by Monday.
In a conversation with private TV Geo News, Muhammad Ali said that proposals for relief in electricity bills have been sent to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and it is hoped that a decision will be taken on the matter by Monday.
He said that gas prices will have to be increased across the country because losses of 350 billion rupees have to be recovered in the gas sector.
The Caretaker Energy Minister said that the September electricity bill will be less compared to August, if there is no crackdown on electricity thieves, then the burden of those who are paying the bill will increase.
