Lahore Shoaib Akhtar, a fast bowler known as Rawalpindi Express, has raised a question about Muhammad Amir’s return to the team.
According to private TV Express News, in an interview, Shoaib Akhtar has said that it is not right for PCB to indicate the return of Mohammad Amir, in the past we were also dropped from the national team, the management was angry with me for 12 years. But it does not mean that arms should be surrendered, we should think about what is the need of Pakistan.
Mohammad Amir kept saying in the interviews that he has devoted his life to cricket, on the other hand, the fact is that he was punished in the past, he was punished if he did wrong, he did not do good for Pakistan cricket, what the country gave him. Shoaib Akhtar said that till 2017, Mohammad Amir’s performance was decent, he bowled brilliantly in the Champions Trophy, after that there was hardly any quality performance in the next 15 to 20 ODIs.
It should be remembered that Mohammad Amir had announced his retirement in 2020 by accusing the former management of PCB of deliberate neglect and mental torture. After Raja was dismissed, Najam Sethi took over and Muhammad Aamir started training at the National High Performance Center.
Najam Sethi had said in the press conference that the door is open, he can withdraw his retirement, if he shows performance, he can be selected. Chief selector Haroon Rasheed also expressed similar views. I represented the Sylhet strikers with 13 wickets.
