According to Indian media reports, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore has appointed former tennis star Sania Mirza as the team’s mentor for the Women’s Premier League 2023.
Rajesh V Menon, Chairman and Vice President of Royal Challengers Bangalore welcomed the appointment of Sania Mirza as a mentor who won 6 Grand Slam titles and 43 WTA titles and said that it is an honor to have achieved success despite many challenges in her playing career. On this occasion, Sania Mirza said that it is a pleasure to join the Women’s team as a mentor for me, the Women’s Premier League will give new inspiration to women and create new ways for them to move forward.
