In the Indian state of Jharkhand, a student of class 10 committed suicide after being slapped by her teacher.
According to Indian media, the teacher slapped the 16-year-old student Usha Kumari for coming to school with a bandage on her forehead.
The police have arrested the principal and the slapping teacher.
According to Indian media, the police have said that the girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan after coming home from school.
The police said that the girl who committed suicide had also written a note in which she held the teacher and principal of the school responsible for the incident.
