LAHORE: An application was filed in the Lahore High Court to form a judicial commission to inquire into the issue of obscene videos and alleged sale of drugs in Islamia University Bahawalpur.
The petition has been filed by citizen Mishkoor Hussain through the mediation of advocate Nadeem Sarwar, FIA, IG Punjab, caretaker chief minister and others have been made parties in the petition.
It has been argued by the petitioner that Islamia University Bahawalpur is the educational institution where the sad scandal of obscene videos has come to light, the chief security officer of the university has been arrested in the scandal of obscene videos.
It has been requested from the High Court that the matter is very sensitive, the Lahore High Court should order the formation of a judicial commission or tribunal to inquire into the matter, and the court should monitor the investigation itself by calling for a progress report of the matter.
