Jinnah House attack case: Hearing on bail pleas of Alia Hamza, Khadija Shah and others adjourned

The special prosecutor requested to adjourn the hearing

The Lahore High Court has adjourned the hearing on the bail applications of Alia Hamza and Khadija Shah and others on the issue of bail of the accused involved in the Jinnah House attack case.

The court has postponed the hearing of the bail applications of Alia Hamza, Khadija Shah and others till August 28. The special prosecutor requested to adjourn the hearing.

The court said in its remarks that submit the amendment memo that you want to submit, these cases will be heard by the regular division bench, tell them that the prosecutor appeared on Monday, then OK, otherwise the court will decide.

The court has summoned the lawyers of the parties for arguments. A 2-member bench headed by Justice Waheed Khan heard the petitions.

He submitted that the legal requirements were not fulfilled in the identification parade of the petitioners, no government official was injured in the incident, anti-terrorism provisions are not applicable in the case.

The statement added that the subordinate court dismissed the bail applications contrary to legal requirements and it was requested that the court should grant bail to the petitioners and order their release.
