Lawyer murder case: The bench hearing PTI chairman’s appeal changed again

The bench hearing the appeal of Chairman PTI Imran Khan against nomination in the FIR of the lawyer murder case in the Supreme Court has been changed once again.

In the Supreme Court, the bench hearing the appeal of Chairman PTI against the murder of a lawyer in Quetta has been changed once again, the Supreme Court has issued a new cause list.

A 3-member bench headed by Justice Yahya will hear the petition of chairman PTI on August 9. The bench includes Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi. Earlier, Justice Musarat Hilali was a part of the bench in place of Justice Hasan Azhar.

Background of the incident
It should be noted that a few months ago, Supreme Court lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar was killed in firing near Alamo Chowk on Airport Road in Quetta.

After which on June 7, 2023, a case of murder of the petitioner of the high treason case and senior advocate of the Supreme Court Abdul Razzaq Shar was registered against the PTI Chairman in Quetta.

The case was registered in Shaheed Jameel Kakar Police Station on the complaint of the son of the deceased lawyer.

A case was registered against the PTI chairman at the Jameel Shaheed police station under Sections 302, 109, 34 of the Penal Code and Sections 6 and 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Earlier, on June 15, the Quetta Anti-Terrorism Court (One) issued an arrest warrant for the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf in the case of the murder of lawyer Advocate Abdul Razzaq Shar, while the lawyers of Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged Van Arnt’s arrest in the Balochistan High Court.

On June 21, the Lahore High Court granted protective bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan till July 3 in the case of the murder of a lawyer in Quetta.
