Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab imposed rain emergency in the city, taking action in view of possible rains and issued a notification.
Mayor Karachi says that all relevant departments of KMC will remain open round the clock.
On the other hand, Murtaza Wahab visited the underpasses of different areas of the city and reviewed the condition of the underpasses before the rains.
He said that efforts should be made that water does not stop in underpasses during rains.
It should be noted that the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of monsoon rains starting today in Karachi.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain with wind and thunder in the suburbs of Karachi today.
