A boy and a girl who ran away from home drowned while crossing the river Indus in Muzaffargarh district.
According to police sources, a boy and a girl who ran away from home to get married two days ago in Jatoi Tehsil of Muzaffargarh district drowned while crossing the river Indus. His body has been removed and buried.
Police say that the incident took place 2 days ago, the boy and the girl were trying to cross the river sitting on a wooden plank but drowned.
According to the police, the boy and the girl had allegedly left home for a wedding of their choice. The relatives of the girl who drowned in the Indus river have accused the boy of kidnapping and murder.
Police say that the boy has been taken into custody and a case of kidnapping has been registered while the investigation is ongoing.
