The US has warned North Korea about possible weapons supplies to Russia
The United States has warned North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un that if Russia supplies weapons to be used in Ukraine, it will have to pay a heavy price.
According to foreign media, US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan told reporters at the White House that providing weapons to Russia will not have a positive effect on North Korea, which will have to pay a price.
Russia said on Tuesday it had nothing to say about the US statements, while Kim Jong-un plans to visit the Russian president this month to discuss weapons supplies.
“We want to make Russia’s defense system as lean as possible, which is why Russia is looking for ways to meet its defense needs,” Jack Sullivan said.
We will continue to urge North Korea to honor its public commitments not to supply Russia with weapons, he added.
It should be noted that US National Security Council spokesman Adrian Watson says that Kim Jong and Putin may plan a meeting.
