Sadaqat Abbasi is not in Islamabad police custody, IG Islamabad
The Islamabad High Court has sought a report from IG Islamabad Police on the alleged disappearance of former Tehreek-e-Insaf Member National Assembly Sadaqat Abbasi within a week.
Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard the petition against Sadaqat Abbasi’s alleged kidnapping.
On this occasion, SSP Operations Islamabad Police while reporting on the court order said that Sadaqat Abbasi is not in the custody of Islamabad Police.
The police said that a case has been registered in the police station secretariat regarding Sadaqat Abbasi’s alleged disappearance.
The court sought a report from the IG Islamabad on the matter within a week while directing them to write a letter to the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior on the matter.
The Islamabad High Court said that Sadaqat Abbasi should be informed, if not in the custody of the subordinate institutions of these ministries, SSP Operations should appoint a senior officer to investigate the matter.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 13.
