Request for investigation against 436 Pakistanis in Panama Papers scheduled for hearing
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court will hear Sirajul Haq’s plea on June 9
The Supreme Court has set for hearing the petition filed by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haque for investigation against 436 Pakistanis in Panama Papers.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Sardar Tariq Masood will hear the petition on June 9. Justice Aminuddin Khan will be part of the bench.
In this regard, the Supreme Court issued notices to the parties including the Attorney General.
It should be remembered that the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami had filed a request for investigation against 436 Pakistanis in 2017 after they were exposed in the Panama Papers.
One of the petitioners, Advocate Tariq Asad, who approached the court for an investigation against these 436 Pakistanis, has died.
