Ukraine’s Interior Ministry reported that seven people, including a six-year-old child, were killed and 90 injured in a Russian missile attack on the northern city of Chernihiv.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, it was said that twelve children are also among the injured.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior says that the victims were going to church to celebrate a religious holiday when they were hit by a missile.

Chernihiv is a city near the border with Belarus that was besieged by Russia at the beginning of the invasion.
“A Russian missile landed right in the middle of the city, in our Chernihiv,” President Zelensky wrote on Telegram. Due to which a square, polytechnic university and a theater were damaged.
Russia, on the other hand, has claimed that a Ukrainian drone targeted a military airport in the northwestern Novgorod region, setting the airport on fire.
The Russian statement added that one plane was damaged but there were no casualties.
Ukraine has not commented on the alleged drone strike.
