Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has banned public gatherings, the home department has issued a letter to the deputy commissioners.
After the suicide attack on the JUI workers’ convention in Bajaur, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has imposed a ban on public gatherings across the province.
According to the post, public gatherings will be banned at any place without the prior permission of the Deputy Commissioners. In the post, instructions were issued to all authorities to strictly implement it immediately.
In the letter sent to the DC, it is further stated that the action has been taken in view of the serious law and order situation and increasing incidents of terrorism.
In the letter, instructions have been given to the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners that public gatherings including public gatherings, processions will also be banned and even if permission is granted, the gathering will not be allowed if security measures are not implemented.
