The delay in sending the summary raised fears that the assembly would not be dissolved today. However, government sources reassured that the summary is ready, just waiting for the Prime Minister’s order, as soon as the order is received, the summary of dissolution of assemblies will be sent to the President.

On the advice of the Prime Minister, the President was bound to dissolve the National Assembly within 48 hours. In case the President did not sign, the National Assembly was to dissolve itself within 48 hours.
However, now with the dissolution of the National Assembly, the Federal Cabinet has also come to an end. But Shahbaz Sharif will remain the prime minister until the caretaker prime minister is appointed.
After the dissolution of the National Assembly, the Election Commission will now have to conduct general elections within 90 days.
The Prime Minister will consult with the opposition leader on the caretaker set-up tomorrow.
According to the sources, the summary of the dissolution of the National Assembly was sent to the Prime Minister on Wednesday morning, the summary was sent by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, but the date of the dissolution of the National Assembly was left blank in the summary.

On the other hand, opposition leader Raja Riaz denied the media reports and said that he is expected to meet with the Prime Minister on Wednesday, if no conclusion is reached today, he will meet again on Thursday.
