Both died on the spot in the attack
In Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh state in India, the parents of a Muslim boy who married according to choice were killed by a mob.
According to a media report, a man and his wife were allegedly attacked to death with iron rods and sticks by their neighbors in Sitapur district on Friday evening, police said.
Sitapur Superintendent of Police Chikresh Mishra says that Abbas and his wife Kamral Nisha were allegedly killed by Pran’s neighbours.
Chikrish Mishra said that the attack was carried out by some members of the neighboring house. Both died on the spot in the attack, after the incident all the accused fled from the spot.
As soon as the incident was reported, Chikrish Mishra reached the spot and deployed the police in the village.
He said that a few years ago, Abbas’s son ran away with a girl from the neighboring house, and the son was sent to jail after registering a case.
When Abbas’s son was released from jail a few days ago, some family members planned an attack on the boy’s parents, Chikresh Mishra said.
He said that the police have registered a case under the relevant provisions and started the investigation and the search for the absconding accused is going on.
