“The President should fulfill his constitutional duty and announce the date of general elections”
Supremacy of the Constitution is a key requirement of the post of President, Tehreek-e-Insaf Core Committee
The most important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was held. In which President Dr. Arif Alvi was demanded to announce the date of general elections without delay.
In the meeting, a resolution was unanimously approved by the President for the immediate determination of the date of the elections.
According to the PTI Core Committee, Pakistan is going through the most critical period in its history.
The core committee of Tehreek-e-Insaf further said that “the president should fulfill the constitutional duty and announce the date of the general elections, supremacy of the constitution is the key requirement of the office of the president”.
The core committee of Tehreek-e-Insaaf further said that the country is facing constitutional, democratic, economic and social crises.
According to the Core Committee, the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies were dissolved on 14 and 18 January 2023.
In the PTI meeting, it was further said that the PDM government avoided elections in 90 days as per Article (2) 224.
