ISLAMABAD: Former Foreign Minister and Vice President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that there is a gallows near my barracks in the jail.
Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who was arrested in the case of cipher disappearance in the special court established under the Official Secrets Act, was presented in handcuffs after the judicial remand was over.
The court extended Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s judicial remand till September 26 and ordered him to be produced in the court after the judicial remand ends.
In an informal conversation with the media after the appearance in the cipher case, Shah Mahmood said that I am innocent and a political prisoner, I cannot even think of betraying the country.
They said that there is a gallows near my barrack in the jail, if I have committed treason, then I should be hanged, may Allah give me the courage to bear oppression patiently, I request the judge, justice may be delayed. It should not be dark.
The former foreign minister said that Imran Khan was and is PTI chairman, there is no ambiguity, but I was invited, that’s why I presented a vision for Pakistan.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the country is currently facing an economic, constitutional and political crisis from which transparent elections are the only way out, so we have to think of Pakistan beyond our personal ego and look at our position and strategy. Must be modified.
